Strep throat has strapped me with sickness, ever since the night of my last hike. Sequestered to home ever since, except for brief forays into the office when my co-workers were absent and thus protected from infection, I was rapidly tiring of my seclusion.
Today, the first day of the new year, the sun came out in all its blazing glory. Still feeling puny, a hike was out of the question. So I drove up Pillar Mountain to see my adopted city all sun-kissed, whipped by the thirty-plus MPH winds steadily turning the six giant windmill turbines arrayed along the ridge.
Enough fluff - enjoy the pictures. Stay tuned for more legitimate updates.
